Dominik grew up in a racing family, watching his father compete, and has quickly seen his own career take off as well. Much of his career has been spent behind the wheel of a Porsche in the US and Europe. He has competed in the Porsche Supercup and Carrera Cup as well as European LeMans Series, American LeMans Series, Grand Am, and LeMans. Career highlights include a 2005 victory at the Rolex 24 at Daytona and a P2 finish at LeMans in 2006.

Dirk Müller, the 2000 American Le Mans Series GT2
Class Champion, will share driving duties in the Tafel Racing machine
with Dominik Farnbacher (Ansbach, Germany). Müller, the likable German
who now calls Monaco home, has spent recent seasons successfully
campaigning several European championships as a factory driver. In
2007, Müller helped give Ferrari and Michelin GT2 manufacturer titles
on the way to his first FIA GT Series championship. He made seven
starts in the American Le Mans Series last year, his first since 2001,
while pursuing the FIA title. In his American Le Mans Series return,
Müller had three fastest race laps and a podium finish at the Detroit
Grand Prix driving a Ferrari F430 GT.

Jim Tafel’s second season as an American Le Mans Series owner and driver will be spent behind the wheel of the No. 73 Tafel Racing Ferrari F430 GTC. He opened the season with a fourth at the 12 Hours of Sebring co-driving with Pierre Ehret (Germany) and Allan Simonsen (Denmark). Returns after two events for the remainder of the season driving with open wheel standout Alex Figge (Denver). Tafel also owns the No. 71 driven full season by Dominik Farnbacher (Germany) and Dirk Müller (Monaco).

Alex Figge pilots the No. 73 Tafel Racing Ferrari F430 GTC with owner/driver Jim Tafel (Alpharetta, Ga.). Debuted in the GT2 class at the Utah Grand Prix marking his first season competing in the class, racing a Ferrari and running Michelin tires. Made a single Champ Car start in the Series’ final event, the Grand Prix of Long Beach, finishing 14th.

One of the team’s strengths and mainstays is unquestionably the experience of veteran racing director, Tony Dowe. Few in sports car racing have such an extensive resume, including Team Manager for Jaguar’s overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (1990), as well as Technical Director for TWR Group, Panoz Motorsports, Professional Sports Car Racing and Dick Barbour Racing, among others.
